Fixes a word typed in the wrong keyboard layout

You meant «привет», the layout was still English, the screen says ghbdtn. LangSwitcher notices, replaces the word and switches the layout. It works the other way round too: «руддщ» becomes hello.

A menu-bar utility for macOS 14 and later. Russian and English out of the box.

No data leaves your Mac. LangSwitcher makes no network connections of any kind — there is no server, no analytics, no account. Keystrokes are held in memory for the word being typed and discarded at its end. Password fields are never observed. Details in the privacy policy.

How it decides

The app compares what your keystrokes would spell in each of your two layouts. A word that exists in its own language's dictionary is left alone; a word that only makes sense in the other layout is corrected at the space. Where neither dictionary knows the word, a language model breaks the tie — how readily is the one setting you choose.
